Testimony
of Barbara Courtney,
I
am a licensed independent clinical therapist by training. However,
from the moment I emerged from the graduate program at Smith College twenty
years ago, my personal and professional experience with healing
would be anything but traditional.
Deeply
affected by my mentors, a Medicine Man and a Shaman, I settled
into my own therapeutic style of working, based on the deep-healing
Shamanic practice of interactive journeying. This work is based
on the principle that we must take responsibility for our own
healing, and elemental to that is learning how to shift our
perspectives in order to create a new reality of well-being.
Ten
years ago I became very sick with leukemia and it was time to
see if I was going to walk my talk. I used the tools of intention,
sound, breath, movement and energy-work to transform what I
was experiencing as leukemia into an opportunity for growth
and healing. By coupling these self-healing practices with herbs
and homeopathy, I was able to shift my reality all the way to
the cellular level.
After
a friend introduced me to Sound Wave Energy, I immediately bought
all of the series. I played the frequencies at night for my
family. After a few weeks, I was noticing that I had more energy
and that I was naturally in a more expanded spiritual state.
Because of this, there is an easier flow in my life. I also
noticed that my clothes were too big-I was actually dropping
my excess weight without focusing my efforts. I am also grateful
that my thirteen-year-old son has opened his heart, and has
been happier and more connected to himself. My husband's sleeping
difficulties are continuing to improve, and overall he feels
more balanced.
Since
my husband and I received our SoulNotes, both of us have taken
a few minutes each day to listen, hum and experience ourselves
as light beings. This stays with us all day and has had a profound
impact on how we deal with difficulties, which arise, in life.
Problems still come and go; the difference has been in our perceptions---
there seems to be a higher-level perspective on everything,
allowing us to float over the problems instead of getting mired
in them.
Becoming
a Star and Harmonist has been such a positive experience for
me, and now it feels like a blessing that I can offer the Sound
Wave Energy tools to my clients. I use a sound table during
sessions with clients and it is very clear that people are going
into their deep healing wisdom more quickly and easily as a
result of the frequencies. Giving people their SoulNote feels
like a sacred act, which I am honored to be a part of. It is
very gratifying to hear about how powerful and transformative
the SoulNote has been for people. It has also been gratifying
to hear from clients that they use their SoulNote as a tool
to return easily to a feeling of being centered.
Today,
I continue to believe in the power of self-healing more than
ever, as evidenced by my client's own experiences of personal
transformation. I am also now exploring and creating very exciting
opportunities for self-healing in the water using sound, intention,
breath, and movement. I call this work "Wave M'ocean"
and hope to someday share it with those who will visit The Center
for Sound and Light, which Nicole is building.
I
look forward to sharing all these wonderful tools with you on
the journey of sound and light.
